Easy Healthy Meal Plan for Busy Families

Welcome to the Golden Grown Wellness meal plan series. Each week, we share a curated collection of recipes from talented creators around the internet that our family is actually eating. All recipes are credited to their original creators, with direct links so you can easily find the recipes and explore more from these talented creators.

In our house, breakfast and dinner are the anchor meals and we usually enjoy leftovers for lunch the next day. These are the meal prep containers I use, they are the perfect size and come in a pack of 10.

Since mornings are busy, I often make breakfast for the next day while I’m making dinner the night before. This supports a healthy, stress-free morning routine.

Each Golden Grown Wellness Meal Plan includes breakfast and dinner ideas you can mix, match, and repeat without spending your whole life in the kitchen.

This Week’s Golden Grown Wellness Meal Plan

🌿 Golden Grown Tips: I usually make tomorrow’s breakfast while tonight’s dinner cooks. It’s a small routine that makes mornings easy. For lunch, we keep it simple with leftovers from the night before.

Monday 🍂

  • 🥣 Breakfast: Sourdough Pumpkin Scones (make the night before) by Artful Homemaking
    Or Pumpkin Scones by Gimme Some Oven (if you don’t have sourdough starter or discard)
  • 🍽 Dinner: Simple Lasagna by Spend with Pennies Can also be make the night before for an effortless Monday

Tuesday 🌾

  • 🥣 Breakfast: Overnight Oats by Slimming Violet There are many different variations here, choose one that looks good to you
  • 🍽 Dinner: Slow Cooker Maple Dijon Chicken by I Am Winfred
    Serve with broccoli or green beans and mashed potatoes or cauliflower rice.

  • 🥣 Breakfast: Eggs and toast (optional: add cottage cheese and some fresh fruit)
  • 🍽 Dinner: Salmon Cakes by Golden Savory
    Serve with french fries (cooked from frozen) and carrot sticks. We like ours with tartar sauce or honey mustard.
